Ohio woman arrested and charged in stabbing incident.Ohio woman arrested and charged in stabbing incident PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSYX) — According to a statement released by the Scioto County Sheriff's Office, a Portsmouth woman has been arrested after a stabbing incident in Lucasville the evening of Thursday, June 4.Police were called to a home on Ridge Lane where 45-year-old Larry William Gill was found with stab wounds.Medics rushed him to Southern Ohio Medical Center where he was then flown to a trauma center located outside of the area.Gill underwent two surgeries for his injuries and is listed in critical condition.Detectives identified Rheena Nichole Shaw, 40, as their suspect.She reportedly visited the home where Gill and his family were staying and allegedly stabbed him in the chest and ran off.Later that night, officers located and arrested Shaw on charges of felonious assault and attempted murder.She appeared in the Portsmouth Municipal Court for arraignment this week and is currently being held on a $100,000 bond.The investigation is still active with plans to present additional charges to the Scioto County Grand Jury, according to Sheriff Thoroughman of Scioto County.Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091.
