Your Community Cares event raises awareness of fentanyl dangers TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The fight against fentanyl takes to downtown Topeka this weekend with the third annual Your Community Cares event. Amber Saale-Burger, co-founder of TK Fights Fentanyl/Kaylee’s Dad Is Mad, visited Eye on NE Kansas with Richard Martinez from Street Team Ministry to share details. Amber launched Kaylee’s Dad Is Mad following the loss of her daughter to an overdose. As she worked to raise awareness of the issue, she met Valerie, who had lost her son Tanner. The Your Community Cares event brings together state and local leaders, families, and local organizations. Attendees also can enjoy live music and family activities, hear from panelists, and receive free narcan and test strips while supplies last. The Your Community Cares fentanyl awareness event runs 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 11 at Evergy Plaza, 630 S. Kansas Ave. Learn more about the efforts at KayleesDadIsMad.com.
