Organizers say they want to honor Black American history while bringing people together. Music, art, and community will be at the heart of what happens. Performances from national touring acts will fill the evening. Area talent and community groups will also take the stage throughout the six-hour program. This marks the return of the annual celebration to downtown. ABC11 serves as the TV media partner of the 2026 Juneteenth Jubilee. Festival Park opens its gates at 5 p.m. that day. Attendees can arrive anytime after that to join in the fun. The celebration comes four days after Juneteenth, which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. The holiday falls on June 19 each year—the date in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and announced freedom for enslaved people. That moment changed everything. Again, no admission fee will be charged. Families and individuals from across the region can attend without cost. More details about the lineup and schedule are available through Visit Downtown Fayetteville, which keeps information about the program and participating performers on its website. Several Juneteenth celebrations are taking place across North Carolina this week. Cities throughout the state have planned programs to mark the occasion. Downtown Fayetteville has hosted the Jubilee in previous years, and the 2026 edition continues that tradition of bringing together residents for the annual observance.
