West High School: Top 10 class of 2026 graduates - The Daily Chronicle.West High School class of 2026 will graduate during a ceremony at 6 p.m.June 6 at Bearcat Stadium.The top 10 graduates of the class are featured in this list provided by the Chehalis School District.Note that there are several valedictorians in this year’s class and no salutatorian.Prior to graduation, the seniors will take part in another time-honored tradition at 9 a.m.June 4 — the W.F.West Class of 2026 Senior Walk.Students will don their caps and gowns as they are greeted by students at the elementary and middle schools.Below are the top 10 graduates of the W.F.West class of 2026, with their future plans for the graduates provided by the school district.Students are listed in alphabetical order.Skylie Aspyn — valedictorian “After high school, I plan to attend Arizona State University to earn my bachelor’s of science in nursing.Once graduated, I plan to go to CRNA school and eventually become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.” Madison Baine “After graduating high school, I plan to attend Whitworth University in Spokane, where I intend to earn a degree in mathematics education.My goal is to obtain my teaching certification and build a strong foundation that will prepare me for a successful career as a high school math teacher.” Avery Brundage After graduation, Avery will take a gap year to intern in France as a teaching assistant through Andego Internships Abroad, and then attend Gonzaga University to major in French and international studies.Eden Hornby — valedictorian Eden plans to attend Utah Tech University in St.George, Utah, and major in nursing.She plans to graduate with her BSN and then go back to school to get her master’s in nursing and become a nurse practitioner with her own practice.Heidi Meier — valedictorian “After high school, I plan to attend Harding University to major in elementary education.” Elizabeth Mittge — valedictorian “I plan to go to Washington State University Pullman for a year to finish my nursing prerequisites, then transfer to WSU's Spokane campus to get my BSN.After that I hope to go back to school to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.” KD Obtinario “I plan to attend Grand Canyon University on campus in Phoenix, Arizona, in the fall.There, I plan to study elementary education and pursue a bachelor’s degree.” Grady Oien — valedictorian Following graduation, Grady hopes to attend the University of Idaho, pursuing a degree in civil engineering.After college, he hopes to return to Lewis County to begin his own contracting company.Madelynn Panther Next year, she plans to complete the prerequisite courses required to enter the nursing program at Eastern Washington University.Her eventual goal is to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA).Leah White — valedictorian “I plan to work at Shaw Aquatics as a lifeguard over the summer before leaving for an 18-month full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.Upon my return, I will attend college at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.”
