Infant killed, 5-year-old injured after crash in Tickfaw.Hammond 6-month-old dead, 5-year-old injured after crash in Tickfaw Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that happened on Friday night in Tickfaw that left a 6-month-old dead and a 5-year-old injured.The crash happened on May 22, around 11:50 p.m.on US Highway 51 just south of LA Highway 1064 in Tangipahoa Parish.Police say a Hyundai Elantra, driven by Resjyne N.Griffin, 25, of Hammond, was traveling north on US Highway 51 approaching LA Highway 1064.For reasons still under investigation, the car ran off the roadway to the right into a ditch and struck a culvert.Police say Griffin sustained moderate injuries.Two minors, a 5-year-old and 6-month-old Kaybri Robinson from Hammond were also in the car at the time of the crash.The 5-year-old was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries and Robinson was transported to a local hospital where she died.According to police, Griffin showed signs of impairment and was arrested and transported to a local hospital for treatment.Once released, Griffin was charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular negligent injury, no child restraint, careless operation, open container, and no driver's license.This crash remains under investigation.
