Indiana teacher's aide accused of inappropriately contacting children on social media.Indiana teacher's aide accused of inappropriately contacting children on social media RUSH COUNTY, Ind.(WKRC) - An Indiana teacher's aide was accused of inappropriately contacting children on social media.According to WXIN, a 39-year-old Elisha Moscrip is facing charges after investigators say he sent inappropriate social media messages to underage students in Knightstown, Indiana.Per the report, Moscrip was charged after the parents of an 11-year-old student at a school in Knightstown, Indiana, contacted school officials and later the Rush County Sheriff’s Office about concerning messages allegedly sent by a teacher’s aide.The family reportedly provided investigators with more than 80 screenshots of conversations between the child and a social media account later linked to Moscrip, according to WXIN.Investigators said the messages included comments in which Moscrip allegedly called the child “beautiful” and told the child they made “him happy.” Authorities also claim he repeatedly referenced “stealing” or “kidnapping” the child and discussed taking the child to see a movie.One alleged message reviewed by investigators reportedly stated: “I hope it okay.Im sure its not normal lol but oh well is where im at lol.” According to WXIN, the conversations ended in December after the child blocked Moscrip on social media and the parents alerted school officials.During the investigation, authorities reportedly discovered Moscrip had also been messaging another student who was 14 years old at the time.Investigators said those messages also allegedly referenced “stealing” the teen, watching movies together, and included inappropriate details about Moscrip’s personal life.Court documents reviewed by WXIN reportedly showed that Moscrip searched online for the “legal definition of solicitation of a minor in Indiana” and the “legal definition of solicitation.” When questioned by investigators, Moscrip reportedly denied having criminal intent and described the messages as “sarcastic.” Moscrip was charged with attempting to commit contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a misdemeanor offense, per WXIN.He posted a $750 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on June 2.
