Local Scout troops hold bridging ceremony in Corinth.Local Scout troops hold bridging ceremony in Corinth In addition to the bridging ceremony, the community also held a Flag Retirement Ceremony CORINTH, Maine (WABI) - Community members gathered in Corinth Sunday for a Cub Scout bridging ceremony, celebrating scouts as they advanced to the next rank.Dover-Foxcroft’s Boy Scout troop also took part in a Court of Honor, where scouts were recognized with badges for their achievements.The event offered a chance to support local scouting and enjoy some family fun, with a barbecue and an ice cream truck on site.With scout membership declining in recent years, organizers said gatherings like this are a great way for families to learn more about scouting, see what the program offers, and find out how to get involved.In addition to the bridging ceremony, the community also held a Flag Retirement Ceremony, giving residents an opportunity to bring worn or unserviceable flags to be properly retired.“We are a family organization, so having both boys and girls in our groups, creates that “welcomeness” for them and partnering with the American Legion helps demonstrate citizenship and community to our scouts.” Says Steven Boddy, Scout Master.Copyright 2026 WABI.All rights reserved.
