Josh Shapiro visited Lebanon County to celebrate Schott Pharma USA’s $60 million investment.Pennsylvania governor highlights $60 million pharmaceutical expansion in Lebanon County Gov.Josh Shapiro visited Lebanon County today to celebrate a $60 million expansion by Schott Pharma USA, a pharmaceutical company that produces glass vials and drug delivery components for injectable medicines.The investment will triple the company’s manufacturing capacity at its facility on Lebanon Valley Parkway in South Lebanon Township.Why Pennsylvania was chosen Shapiro said Schott Pharma USA chose Pennsylvania for its operations because of the state’s workforce, research institutions, manufacturing base, and government support.He also emphasized the importance of life sciences as a major opportunity for Pennsylvania and encouraged continued investment in innovation to attract more companies and create additional jobs.Economic impact across Pennsylvania “Why is that important to Lebanon County?Why is that important to Pennsylvania?Because with an added billion dollars in revenue coming from this record economic growth, it's more money for our schools, for cops, for firefighters, for parks, for our kids to play in, to pave our roads and do more work with our infrastructure.This is good not just for Schott.It's good not just for Lebanon County.This is good for the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” Shapiro said.Schott Pharma USA stated that the expansion will retain the 200 jobs already in place at the Lebanon County facility, which has been in operation since 2003.
