4-H Show Season is Right Around the Corner.4-H show season is just around the corner, and 4-H members are ready to showcase their talents at this year’s general project, animal, and livestock shows.The Wayne County 4-H shows will kick off on Saturday, June 27, and continue through Thursday, July 9, with most of the show schedule coinciding with the Wayne County Fair.Illinois Extension invites communities to attend a show in support of local youth or bring the family to learn more about 4-H.The 2026 Wayne County 4-H show schedule is as follows: June 27 8 a.m.4-H Horse Show, Wayne County Saddle Club 8 a.m.4-H Alpaca/Llama Obstacle Course Show, Wayne County Saddle Club June 28 2 p.m.4-H General Project Show, Floral Hall June 29 5:30 p.m.Cat and Dog Show, 4-H Barns July 6 8 a.m.4-H Rabbit Show, 4-H Arena 1 p.m.4-H Poultry Show, 4-H Arena July 7 8 a.m.4-H Beef Show, 4-H Arena 1 p.m.4-H Goat Show, Goat Barn July 8 8 a.m.4-H Swine Show, 4-H Arena 1 p.m.4-H Sheep Show, Sheep Arena July 9 8 a.m.Dog and Llama/Alpaca Costume Contest 9 a.m.Bruce Dickey Show, 4-H Arena 10 a.m.Round Robin 5 p.m.4-H Awards 5:30 p.m.4-H Foundation Auction All shows are open to the public and will be held at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Fairfield unless otherwise noted.Community members are encouraged to follow Wayne County IL 4-H on Facebook to stay up to date with events and show results.
