Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors packs meals for families in need.Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors packs meals for families in need Local realtors are taking on hunger in Southwest Virginia one meal at a time.Members of the Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors spent Thursday packing thousands of meals for families in need.Volunteers gathered at the association's office in Abingdon with the goal of packing 10,000 meals for Feeding Southwest Virginia.The effort brought together realtors, business partners and community volunteers to help fight food insecurity across the region."We love making sure that we're making a difference and touching the lives of the people that we're here to take care of every day," said Felicia Leonard, President of Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors."We always have a great participation.Tons of people wanted to come out and help.The organization itself, our outreach program works really well.We started at 10 this morning so a couple of hours to pack ten thousand meals." The meals will go to families served by Feeding Southwest Virginia.
