Due to the severity of his injuries, he was flown by helicopter to Children's Wisconsin, where he died on Wednesday."I literally held my son until he passed away, you know.I watched him.Even then, I couldn't leave him.I was there for hours just staring at him," Jorge Ramirez said.Police arrested Keith, who lived with Jori's mother at a home near State and Prospect streets in Racine.Investigators are recommending charges of first-degree reckless homicide.Jorge Ramirez said he had only met Keith once."I met him once, and I shared a couple words with him.I basically told him, 'This is my son,'" he said.Jori's grandmother, Silvia Arechiga, expressed her grief and called for justice."I'm asking for justice for my sweet boy.That's all I’m asking for, whoever is involved, I ask for justice," she said.On Friday, WISN 12 News visited the home of Keith and Jori's mother, but no one answered the door.The Ramirez family is angry and heartbroken and wants Jori to be remembered."He was a beautiful baby.He did not deserve that.You know, whatever happened will come to light, Jennifer Ramirez said.Authorities are asking the public for additional information related to the case.To help cover the unexpected costs of their loved one's death, the Ramirez family is hosting a food sale Saturday, June 6, from noon to 4 p.m.The event will be held at 1345 S.47th Street in West Milwaukee.Top Headlines - MPS board passes $1.6 billion budget - Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate admits to stealing campaign signs - Man pinned under boat, killed at Milwaukee boat storage business WATCH Gun store video shows illegal purchase attempt
