Holts Summit has a new treasurer. Tyler Kaiser was selected for the role and will begin Monday, according to a news release from Holts Summit City Administrator Nicholas Tietsort. Kaiser was most recently treasurer and finance director for the Village of Sand Lake in Michigan. He previously worked for Cascade Engineering in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps and Michigan Army National Guard. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Grand Valley State University. "We are excited to welcome Mr. Kaiser to the City of Holts Summit," Tietsort said in the release. "His finance background and commitment to public service stood out throughout the hiring process. He is a valuable addition to our leadership team and will help strengthen the city's financial operations." As city treasurer, Kaiser will oversee municipal financial operations, fund management, budget preparation and financial reporting, among other duties. He will replace former treasurer Dianne Wolfmeier, who was appointed in 2023. Kaiser was selected through a competitive hiring process, according to the release. The Holts Summit Board of Alderman approved Kaiser's hiring May 26 and ratified the decision June 9.
