East Petersburg coworkers remember Keshia Gonzalez as a devoted colleague and mother."She left her mark," Coworkers mourn the loss of Manheim shooting victim The Manheim community is mourning the loss of 37-year-old Keshia Gonzalez.The Manheim Borough Police Department says she was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend on Monday morning.Hours after the shooting on North Main Street in Manheim, authorities say Michael Boccia shot and killed himself in Alabama, about 40 minutes away from Birmingham."We actually found out with a text that we got from Keshia's mom, and we all lost it," said Edna Caraballo, Keshia's colleague.Keshia was an office manager at Axle Funding located inside the American Auto Auction Lancaster building in East Petersburg.She worked there for about 7 years.Coworkers react to the news Her coworkers described her as the bright and bubbly light who loved to make people smile from the second she walked in, to when she left.Caraballo says she took off on Monday to take time for herself, a rare treat as a dedicated employee and a single mother."There's no words to describe how we all feel towards this unthinkable thing," said Caraballo."It's also eye opening on how this world works, and has mindless people that will do whatever they want to do no matter what the consequences are, no matter who these people are leaving behind.I am heartbroken." Remembered as a supportive manager Jasmin Deliz says Keshia hired her a few years ago and they became good friends."She trained me enough to do the job by myself," said Jasmin Deliz, Keshia's coworker."Not many managers give you that part, they like to micromanage." Deliz says the office will be lonely without her."It's not what she said, it's how she said it that made you go and have a good day," said Deliz.A devoted mother Keshia leaves behind two boys.Coworkers say she loved being an office manager, but she absolutely loved being a mother."Her boys were her number one," said Deliz."I don't know what she did not do without them." Friends of Keshia's are collecting monetary donations for the two boys on Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal.Donations for her sons Caraballo says she also set up a cash box inside the office for any customers or colleagues who want to donate."It's for these kids, you know, it's not going to bring their mom back, but it gives them a peace of mind that they have something to lean on," said Caraballo."We saw these kids grow here, and it breaks our hearts to know that they don't have their mom anymore and we want to help them out no matter what way."
