Jelly Roll files for divorce from Bunnie XO in Tennessee after nearly 10 years NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Country star Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from Bunnie XO, according to court records obtained by CNN. The filing happened in Tennessee about a month ago. The news comes after nearly 10 years of marriage. The couple first met at one of Jelly Roll’s concerts in Las Vegas in 2015. He proposed on stage about a year later. The two then got married at a courthouse that same night. So far, neither side has commented on the filing. Jelly Roll recently made a surprise appearance and performed at CMA Fest in Nashville, Tennessee, without his wedding ring. According to sources that spoke with TMZ, the decision was mutual. The former couple tied the knot in August 2016 and renewed their vows in 2023, but have had a turbulent romance. One week before their wedding, Jelly Roll, real name Jason DeFord, welcomed a son, Noah, 9, from another woman. He is also a father to a daughter, Bailee, 17, from a previous relationship. The couple have been open about the ups and downs in their relationship. In 2025, Jelly Roll admitted to cheating on Bunnie, calling it “one of the worst moments of my adulthood” on the “Human School” podcast. “Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman,'” he explained. “It just really, really, really blew me back.” Speaking with Us Weekly earlier this year ahead of the release of her memoir, "“Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic," , Bunnie said it was hard to move on from the “betrayal.” “I don’t think anybody can just snap out of it. It is a process. You’re literally grieving and you’re heartbroken but you’re still in love with this person. Even though the affair is a part of the book, it’s not our story,” she said. “It’s literally what catapulted us into who we are today and I think that readers need to definitely consume it, chew on it and think about it. But they also see what we’ve made from that entire situation. It completely changed who we are as humans and how we looked at love.”
