Arizona man sentenced after $140K in merchandise stolen from Walmart stores.Arizona man sentenced after $140K in merchandise stolen from Walmart stores PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An Arizona man will spend eight years in prison after being convicted of multiple charges related to two separate organized retail theft and trafficking operations that resulted in more than $140,000 in merchandise being stolen from Walmart stores across the state.Alexander Dantzler was charged for his role in two organized retail theft and trafficking enterprises that took place in 2024, Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes announced Wednesday.In one case, investigators said Dantzler targeted Walmart stores in multiple counties, including Mohave, Graham, Pima, Pinal, Santa Cruz, Maricopa and Yavapai.In the second case, he targeted a Walmart Neighborhood Market in Pima County.Dantzler and another man were indicted in connection with the crimes last July.On March 10, Dantzler pleaded guilty to two counts of organized retail theft, three counts of trafficking in stolen property, two counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices, and two counts of illegally conducting an enterprise.“Thanks to our great partnerships with local law enforcement, we were able to bust this major organized retail theft ring operating throughout the state,” Mayes said.“We will keep working to combat organized retail crime and hold bad actors accountable.” On April 23, Dantzler was sentenced to eight years in the Arizona Department of Corrections, followed by 14 years of probation.He was also ordered to pay $140,000 in restitution to Walmart.See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?Please click here to report it.Do you have a photo or video of a breaking news story?Send it to us here with a brief description.Copyright 2026 KTVK/KPHO.All rights reserved.Join The Conversation We want to hear what you think.Create a free account to share your thoughts.Read our community guidelines here.
