Terrie Gray Found Guilty of First Degree Murder of Four Year Old Child. The following report was released by the Vernon Parish District Attorney's Office: Vernon Parish District Attorney Terry Lambright reports that Terrie Ann Gray 49 of Leesville was found guilty of first-degree murder and 2nd degree cruelty of a juvenile after only 5 minutes of deliberation by the jury.Gray has been on trial for killing the 4-year-old daughter of her live-in boyfriend, Logan Miller, as well as 2nd degree cruelty to his 2-year-old son.The children came to live with Gray and Miller and after only a few short months the 4-year-old was found un-responsive in the couple’s home. The children were taken by emergency medical personnel to a local hospital.A short time later, the children were later transported to a trauma facility in Shreveport where the 4-year-old passed away the following day.She was examined by a forensic medical examiner who determined the child’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.“I want to thank everyone involved in the investigation, preparation, and prosecution of this case.I would especially like to thank the family of the victims. My office will continue to seek to hold people accountable for horrific crimes such as these. This was a very difficult case for everyone involved to include the jury who had to view all of the evidence as it was presented at trial.Dealing with the mistreatment of children is one of the hardest things we have to face.I am very thankful the jury listened to the evidence and returned a just verdict.” Judge C.Anthony Eaves scheduled the sentencing of Gray for August 25, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.Under Louisiana law, the only possible sentence for first-degree murder is mandatory life in prison without the benefit of probation or parole. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lea R.The trial of co-Defendant Logan Miller is currently scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
