TBI investigating after 2 children killed, mother hospitalized in Tennessee town, officials say.OBION COUNTY, Tenn.- The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating after two children were killed and their mother was seriously injured Saturday in Kenton, Tennessee, officials said.Kenton mayor Danny Jowers said in a social media post he could not provide additional details because of the ongoing investigation.Tipton County Sheriff Shannon Beasley identified the children as a 1-year-old and a 12-year-old.The Kenton Police Department and first responders responded to the scene.Jowers' full statement is below: "I feel as the Mayor of Kenton I should update everyone about this horrific event that occurred this afternoon.There are two children deceased and the mother of these children in serious condition at a hospital.I will not go into details due to the ongoing investigation but it is a crime scene that my officers of KPD as well as other first responders will never be able to ever forget.Decisionn was made to bring in the TBI to investigate these homicides.Please pray for all involved and remember God has wrapped his loving arms around those children and they will never be harmed again.All inquires should be directed to the TBI."
