Neighbors express safety concerns after fatal shooting on Woodward, search continues for alleged shooter.Neighbors express safety concerns after fatal shooting on Woodward, search continues for alleged shooter TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo police are looking for a man they say shot and killed a 22-year-old on Woodward Avenue early Wednesday morning.An arrest warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Raheem Nicholson in the death of 22-year-old Marquan Whitiker.Police say they believe there was a house party at a home on the 800 block of Woodward Avenue in the early morning hours of June 10, 2026.They say gunshots were fired at the party, and Whitiker was shot and killed.Neighbors react to shooting Several neighbors who live in the area of Woodward Avenue say they are concerned after Wednesday morning’s shooting.“I got terrified.Very terrified.To the point where I was shaking,” one neighbor said.Adrian Traynum has lived on Woodward Avenue for nearly 30 years.His home is just steps away from the house where the shooting happened.Traynum was not home when the shots were fired a little after 12:30 a.m.Wednesday, but his wife was.“They were partying.She says it looked like they were having a good time over there, and they usually do.The neighbors over there, I’ve never had any issues or anything with them.They barbecue, they might play some cards, play some music, but I wouldn’t have thought maybe that would’ve happened inside there,” Traynum said.“As far as gun violence and fights, things like that on this street, it’s not surprising at all,” Traynum said.Whitiker was taken to St.Vincent’s Hospital where he died.Police are now looking for 33-year-old Raheem Nicholson, who they say is responsible for pulling the trigger.Wednesday’s shooting has Traynum worried for his family’s safety going forward.“My mom stays down the street.I’m to the point now to where I’m trying to talk my mom into selling her house and I want to sell my house and kind of move on the outskirts of Toledo,” Traynum said.Toledo police are asking anyone with information on this shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.The booking photo shown below is from a previous arrest.Latest Local News | First Alert Weather | Crime | National | 13abc Originals Copyright 2026 WTVG.All rights reserved.
