'Reading is Timeless' Summer Reading Program sets June events.BAGLEY — The Bagley Public Library will host several events for youth as part of Lake Agassiz Regional Library's "Reading is Timeless" Summer Reading Program throughout June, at the library, 79 Spencer Ave.Events are free to attend and kick off with, "Make Your Mark: The Timeless Power of the Printing Press," at 10 a.m.on Wednesday, June 3, offered in partnership with the Minnesota Center for Book Arts.ADVERTISEMENT "Discover the invention that changed how humans share stories and get an up-close experience with a real printing press," a release said."Writing is Timeless: Explore Different Writing Styles" will be offered at 10 a.m.on Wednesday, June 10.Attendees will create a clay tablet with their names written in Elvish, a language inspired by ancient writings.The penultimate event, "Words are Timeless: Create a Journal," takes place at 10 a.m.on Wednesday, June 17.Attendees will be encouraged to create a journal as unique as they are, the release said.All materials will be provided."Dancing is Timeless: Family Dance Party" will serve as a dance through the decades lead by Gwen LaVine at 10 a.m.on Wednesday, June 24.In addition to these events, starting Monday, June 1, youth can read to win prizes, and are encouraged to visit their local library or LINK site to pick up a reading log for the summer.More information can be found at larl.org/kids.The Summer Reading Program is offered to youth and teens in communities in Becker, Clay, Clearwater, Mahnomen, Norman, Polk and Wilkin counties.
