Veterans Court offers Memorial Day tribute - The Daily News.Submitted by Mid-Michigan Veterans Treatment Court STANTON — The Mid-Michigan Veterans Treatment Court held a Memorial Day Tribute Celebration to honor and remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. The event in Montcalm County District Court brought together the court, Veterans Treatment Court team members, veterans, families, community partners and supporters for a time of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. The tribute included remarks honoring the true meaning of Memorial Day, recognition of the sacrifices made by service members and their families, and a moment to reflect on those who never made it home. The Veterans Treatment Court participants put a great deal of work into helping bring this event together, including Mentor Coordinator Brynjar Conway.Participants also prepared and gave speeches on their own tributes, making the event especially meaningful and personal. We would like to thank Montcalm County District Court Judge Adam Eggleston, who spoke on a tribute during the event, for his continued dedication to the Veterans Treatment Court program and to serving veterans in our county. His support and commitment have been an important part of this program’s mission and growth. As a Veterans Treatment Court, the program remains committed to serving justice-involved veterans through accountability, structure, support, discipline, and connection. The Mid-Michigan Veterans Treatment Court would like to thank everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the tribute meaningful.A special thank you is also extended to Hometown Floral in Stanton for donating the beautiful wreath used during the ceremony. For more information about Veterans Treatment Court in Montcalm County, call Coordinator Michaela Sattler at (989) 831-7466 or email msattler@montcalm.us.
