South Carolina bans nitrous oxide sales to anyone under 18 (WPDE) — South Carolina law (S. 751) prohibits selling Nitrous Oxide, or any related products, to anyone under 18. SLED is permitted to conduct investigations into any suspicious actions. Governor Henry McMaster signed the Nitrous Oxide bill, which became law on May 18. Retailer must-knows: - Not allowed to o sell, furnish, give, distribute, or provide nitrous oxide to anyone under 18. - Must demand a valid ID. - Prohibited from selling flavored Nitrous Oxide products. - Tobacco retailers, who primarily sell tobacco products, are prohibited from selling Nitrous Oxide. - Businesses violating the law may face administrative actions, including the revocation of licenses or permits.
