POCATELLO — Local drone company Titan Batteries opened the doors of its Pocatello headquarters and manufacturing facility earlier this month on International Drone Day. The event was held Saturday, May 2, at 3309 Highway W, according to emails sent to the Idaho State Journal. Local policymakers, business leaders and Titan Batteries executives gathered to discuss the company and its products. "Titan Batteries is proud to continue Pocatello's long tradition of advanced technology manufacturing and make Southeast Idaho the leader in onshoring advanced battery manufacturing," the emails said. "All these efforts contribute to national security and realizing President Trump's Executive Order 'Unleashing American Drone Dominance.'" Attendees toured the production lines building new USA-engineered military drones. They also discussed the importance of Idaho-based manufacturing in national security and local economic growth. Titan's executive officers also discussed President Trump's Executive Order and the expansion of tech manufacturing jobs in Southeast Idaho. "Titan Batteries is opening its doors in Pocatello to show exactly how Titan's lithium-ion battery packs are powering the race for American drone dominance," the emails said. Attendees included an Idaho House of Representatives member, a Bannock County Commission member, staff from the offices of Rep. Mike Simpson, Sen. Mike Crapo and Sen. Jim Risch, representatives from Idaho State University's College of Science and Engineering and College of Technology, leadership from the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce and other Portneuf Valley business leaders, according to the emails. "It was a privilege to have such a distinguished group of policymakers, engineers and local business leaders in the room," the emails said. Titan Batteries is leading the charge in bringing manufacturing jobs back to the United States. Leadership at the company is excited to be in Pocatello and honored to contribute to the city's economy. "Titan's journey from a basement startup to becoming the nation's largest manufacturer of lithium-ion UAV batteries is a testament to the strength of Idaho's industrial and academic partnerships," the emails said.
