Evers visits Black River Falls to highlight record-breaking tourism industry Published: Jun.15, 2026 at 3:11 PM CDT|Updated: 2 hours ago BLACK RIVER FALLS, Wis.(WEAU) - Governor Tony Evers visited Black River Falls on Monday to talk about Wisconsin’s record-breaking tourism industry.Evers biked the foundation trail in Black River Falls.According to 2025 economic impact data, Wisconsin generated a record-breaking $27 billion.That’s $74 million a day.The governor says the legislature helped make it possible.“We got the legislature to actually put some more money into the system so I think there’s no way that any legislator can say that tourism is some kind of fluff thing.It’s not.It’s a huge part of the economy,” said Evers.Outdoor recreation also broke records in Wisconsin, contributing more than $12 billion to the states GDP.Copyright 2026 WEAU.All rights reserved.
