New Orleans fugitives, armed accomplice caught by troopers after chase in Marrero, state police say.New Orleans fugitives, armed accomplice caught by troopers after chase in Marrero, state police say MARRERO, La.(WVUE) - Louisiana State Police troopers attempting to stop an allegedly stolen pickup truck Sunday (June 7) in Marrero said they captured three armed suspects, including a man wanted for attempted murder in New Orleans.The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Jarvis Windmon of Marrero, 24-year-old Davante Williams of New Orleans and 19-year-old Damond Wilson of Westwego.Troopers said Wilson was wanted by New Orleans police on several open felony warrants, including attempted second-degree murder and several counts of armed robbery involving firearms.State Police said troopers located a stolen Ford F-150 traveling east on U.S.Highway 90 Business near Barataria Boulevard around 6 p.m., but the driver -- later identified as Windmon -- refused to stop and led units on a brief high-speed chase on Myers Boulevard.There, the three occupants of the truck attempted to flee on foot.The LSP said Windmon was quickly captured while carrying a gun, but Wilson entered an occupied home on Myers Boulevard and attempted to hide.The homeowner was able to notify police and Wilson was apprehended, along with a bag containing a gun.With the help of a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office drone, troopers located Williams near Myers Boulevard and the Fourth Street canal.Williams attempted to flee again, but was stopped when troopers deployed a taser against him and arrested him also in possession of a gun.The LSP said Williams also was wanted by the NOPD on a warrant for possession of stolen things.The suspects were booked as follows: - Jarvis Windmon, 22: Aggravated flight from an officer, resisting arrest by flight, possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, illegal possession of stolen things, unauthorized use of a moveable, and violation of probation - Damond Wilson, 19: Resisting arrest by flight, home invasion, possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, unauthorized entrance of an inhabited dwelling, unauthorized use of a moveable, illegal possession of stolen things, simple escape and fugitive warrants - Davante Williams, 24: Resisting arrest by flight, possession of a firearm while committing a crime of violence, felon in possession of a firearm, unauthorized use of a moveable, illegal possession of stolen things, possession of tools for a crime, and a fugitive warrant See a spelling or grammar error in our story?Click Here to report it.Please include the headline.Subscribe to the Fox 8 YouTube channel.Copyright 2026 WVUE.All rights reserved.
