One arrested after string of car burglaries in two Middle Tennessee cities The Greenbrier Police Department is asking people in certain areas to review their surveillance footage for evidence. SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) - Officers with the Springfield Police Department arrested a man this week who they say is connected to a string of car break-ins, according to Smokey Barn News. SBN reports that Brantavius T. Lewis, 18, was booked into the Robertson County Detention Facility without bond. He is charged with: - possession of stolen property - unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon - possession of a prohibited weapon His arrest follows a string of vehicle burglaries last week in Greenbrier and Monday night in Springfield, per SBN. Greenbrier Police told SBN at least eight cars were burglarized between 3 and 4 a.m. on June 9. Detectives are investigating those burglaries, too, but SBN says it is unclear if the Greenbrier and Springfield break-ins are connected. Two firearms were stolen from cars in Greenbrier, and police say an entire vehicle was also stolen, per SBN. Law enforcement is reminding the public to remove and valuables or guns before locking their vehicles every day.
