KCTCS celebrates record-breaking year VERSAILLES, Ky.(WKYT) - The Kentucky Community and Technical College System celebrated a record-breaking year in 2025-26.Preliminary numbers from the past year show that over 25,000 students graduated, a first in system history.Students earned over 47,000 certificates, diplomas and degrees, including over 10,000 associate degrees -- another first in system history.KCTCS also awarded 58 percent of all undergraduate degrees across Kentucky during the past academic year.Seventy-four percent of KCTCS graduates leave with no student debt.KCTCS President Ryan Quarles was pleased with the number and praised students and faculty alike across the system.“This record-breaking year is a testament to the determination of our students and the dedication of the faculty and staff across our 16 colleges who support them every step of the way,” he said.I am incredibly proud of our students for the hard work it took to reach this moment, and I am equally proud of the employees who help them overcome barriers and achieve their goals.” Copyright 2026 WKYT.All rights reserved.
