Deputies investigating fatal shooting at Platte County home; man arrested.Deputies investigating fatal shooting at Platte County home; man arrested KANSAS CITY, Mo.(KCTV) - Deputies are investigating a homicide after a man was found shot to death inside a home late Wednesday night in unincorporated Platte County.The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded around 10:45 p.m.on Thursday to a reported domestic disturbance near the 8700 block of NW Hillview Road Circle.Inside the residence, deputies found a 36-year-old man dead from gunshot wounds.Other occupants were not hurt.A 57-year-old man who lives in the home was taken into custody and transported to the Platte County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour investigative hold, according to the sheriff’s office.Authorities have not released the names of the deceased or the person in custody pending notification of next of kin.The investigation is ongoing.Copyright 2026 KCTV.All rights reserved.Join The Conversation We want to hear what you think.Create a free account to share your thoughts.Read our community guidelines here.
