Deputies tackle kidnapping, I-75 chase suspect after courtroom outburst.Deputies tackle kidnapping, I-75 chase suspect after courtroom outburst Man faces 19 charges after violent incidents, high-speed chase Video above from previous coverage.CINCINNATI (WXIX) - An outburst inside a Hamilton County courtroom led to deputies having to tackle and restrain a chase and kidnapping suspect.Adamu Williams, 25, appeared before a judge on Monday after he was arrested on 19 total charges, ranging from kidnapping to drug trafficking, Hamilton County court records show.A court official said Williams was wheeled into the courtroom Monday after he refused to come down from his cell and would do so only if he could appear in a wheelchair.Williams had to be tackled and handcuffed by deputies after he sprang up from his wheelchair.Williams yelled and cussed as deputies got him up off the ground and out of the courtroom.“He is literally a one-man walking crime wave here,” Prosecutor Mike Keeling said.Download the FREE FOX19 NOW news app for iPhone Download the FREE FOX19 NOW news app for Android Prior warrants and alleged attacks Keeling said Williams was already wanted on multiple felony warrants stemming from two violent attacks on his girlfriend earlier this month.In one alleged attack, Springdale police say Williams repeatedly punched the woman, threatened her when she tried to leave, and strangled her until she lost consciousness.“He assaulted his girlfriend by punching her in the face several times, causing bruising and injuries to her eyes and her ribs.Williams then pistol-whips [victim] with an orange handgun,” Keeling said.High-speed chase and crash Police arrested Williams Saturday after Lockland officers tried to make a traffic stop on Interstate 75.He then allegedly led police on a high-speed chase through Hamilton and Butler counties before crashing later on the interstate.Authorities said dispatchers warned officers Saturday that Williams was wanted on felony warrants, may have been armed, and was refusing to let a passenger out of his vehicle.Several drivers were taken to the hospital following the crash that Williams allegedly caused on I-75 Saturday night.Their injuries are non-life-threatening.Courtroom disruption Despite advice from his attorney to stay quiet, Williams interrupted the court, saying he wanted to plead guilty.“Can I just plead guilty?(inaudible).This (expletive) keep saying I did this and did that to her, but as soon as I go on the pod, she’s going to be right there, video visit, I’ love you baby, Can I come bond you out?’ C’mon, bud,” Williams said.The court then discussed having Williams sign a temporary restraining order.Williams could be heard repeatedly professing his love for his girlfriend while deputies forcefully removed him from the courtroom.Drug charges and bond Williams also faces three drug trafficking charges after police say they found what appeared to be fentanyl pills, Xanax, cocaine, and other narcotics in his possession at the time of his arrest.The judge ordered Williams held on a $770,000 straight cash bond for the 19 charges against him.See a spelling or grammatical error in our story?Please click here to report it.Do you have a photo or video of a breaking news story?Send it to us here with a brief description.Copyright 2026 WXIX.All rights reserved.
