President Trump to visit Chippewa Falls Friday, will be joined by Congressman Van Orden.President Trump to visit Chippewa Falls Friday, will be joined by Congressman Van Orden CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis.(WEAU) - We’re learning new details about President Donald Trump’s visit to western Wisconsin later this week.The president will be in Chippewa Falls on Friday and he will be joined by Republican Congressman Derrick Van Orden.Multiple of the president’s cabinet officials have already joined Van Orden over the past few months, including HHS Secretary Robert F.Kennedy Jr.Monday in Elk Mound.The president will be added to that string of high-profile visits on Friday when he plans to highlight his initiatives to help Wisconsin farmers.We spoke with Van Orden on Tuesday about the president’s visit as well as the visits from other members of his cabinet.Van Orden says it’s an “incredible show of support,” but the president is not coming to Chippewa Falls for him.“We’re not here to do politics.We’re here to do policy.And if you really look at what we’ve been told, we’ve got year-round E15.I don’t know if that really strikes the chord with you, but for our corn growers and for folks that are trying, you know, to save some more money to pump, that is huge.That’s up to $0.30 a gallon less at the pump.So, we’re here to do policy.Other people are here to do politics,” said Van Orden.WEAU also spoke with Democratic Senator Tammy Baldwin about President Trump’s visit.“I don’t know what President Trump is going to say to our farmers when he comes to the Chippewa Valley this week.But I can tell you, the farmers that I’ve been meeting with are hurting.And they’re hurting really badly because of Trump’s choice.Trump’s choice to go to war in Iran when we weren’t under any imminent threat from Iran,” said Baldwin.This is the first time President Trump will be visiting Wisconsin since he was re-elected in 2024.WEAU will be there to cover the visit on Friday and we will continue to bring you more information throughout the week.Copyright 2026 WEAU.All rights reserved.
