Two Lincoln Parish Students Named Louisiana Students of the Year Kaejha Mary-Anne Christine Stewart and Melissa An Le are honored by the Louisiana Department of Education MONROE, La.(KNOE) - Two students from Lincoln Parish Schools have been named Louisiana Students of the Year by the Louisiana Department of Education.Kaejha Mary-Anne Christine Stewart has been named Middle School Student of the Year and Melissa An Le has been named High School Student of the Year for 2026.The students were selected based on academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.Stewart attends A.E.Phillips Laboratory School.She serves as student council president and is a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.She is a member of the National Junior Honor Society, participates in science and math teams, and is active in choir, music, theater.She is also a pianist.Le is a former Louisiana Middle School Student of the Year.She currently attends Ruston High School.She is an AP Scholar with Distinction and a National Merit Commended Scholar.Le serves as student body president, state secretary of the Future Business Leaders of America, and has earned all-state recognition in speech and debate.She advocates for expanded access to science, technology, engineering, and math education through speaking engagements.Her “STEM to Bloom” video series has reached thousands.“The Louisiana Students of the Year program is about recognizing young people who set goals and put in the work necessary to achieve them,” said Louisiana State Superintendent Dr.Cade Brumley.“Each of our finalists are examples of what’s possible when students pursue excellence, serve others, and lead with purpose.” Copyright 2026 KNOE.All rights reserved.
