Man dies after falling from balcony during Madison Square Garden concert

A man died Saturday night after falling at a concert at Madison Square Garden, according to New York City police. The man, whose identity has not been released, was attending a concert by the rock band Goose when he fell from what police described as an “elevated position.” Officers were called to 4 Penn Plaza, the arena’s official address, at 9:51 p.m. and arrived to find a 51-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive. He was transported by the FDNY to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The fire department said reports indicated the man had fallen from a balcony. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
