Davenport Parks and Recreation director resigning | wqad.com.DAVENPORT, Iowa — The City of Davenport will begin searching for a new Director of Parks and Recreation after Chad Dyson leaves the role on June 10.Dyson began working for the Parks and Recreation Department in 2018.City officials said Dyson will be taking a new job out of state after his departure.“I’m forever grateful for the opportunity to serve this community,” Dyson said in a statement.“I’m especially proud of the impact our team has had on improving the quality of life for people in Davenport." City officials credit Dyson's tenure for the addition of multi-sports courts, obstacle courses and Fejervary Holiday Lights display.He was also involved with Party in the Park and the creation of volunteer committees who assist with recreational trails and dog parks.Following Dyson's departure, Senior Administrative Services Manager Becca Niles will step in as interim director.
