Blue alert issued for armed man out of Southeast Missouri.CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo.(WSIL) -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a blue alert Sunday morning for a Caruthersville man considered armed and dangerous.Authorities said they are searching for Zachary Walker, a 42-year-old who is described as a 5' 9" tall white man, weighing 180 lbs.with blue eyes and partially gray hair.Authorities report he also is armed with a rifle and a handgun.State police said he fired shots at Caruthersville police officers during a traffic stop, then drove away.Authorities said they believe Walker is wounded when officers returned fire.The patrol activated the alert to Missouri residents to be on the lookout.A blue alert is issued when law enforcement officers are threatened or injured in the line of duty.Anyone with information about Walker's whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately.
