PADUCAH — The West Kentucky Workforce Board will partner with the Kentucky Career Center — Paducah to host a Rapid Response Meeting for workers affected by recent layoffs at Precision Parcel Logistics. According to a Tuesday release from the West Kentucky Workforce Board, the meeting will be held at the WKCTC Emerging Technology Center, Room 109, at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17. "The meeting is designed to help former employees quickly connect with resources, services, and information available following a job loss," the release read. "Rapid Response services are provided at no cost and are intended to help workers understand their options, access benefits, and begin their path back to employment." According to the release, attendees will: - Receive an overview of workforce services and benefits available after a layoff - Learn how to apply for unemployment insurance and understand the claims process - Review career services, including job search assistance, resume development, and interview preparation - Receive a resource booklet containing detailed information about available programs and support services - Learn about financial, health and retirement related resources that may be available - Explore specialized services for veterans and individuals with disabilities - Receive guidance on preparing for ID.me identity verification, a required step in the unemployment insurance process. Workforce staff can explain the documentation needed so participants are prepared when it is time to apply.
