Early and absentee voting numbers are in from Hamilton County’s first day of early voting before the August 6 election.
A spreadsheet obtained from the election commission shows that 2,057 people showed up to vote on Friday, and 716 people voted by mail or from a nursing home leading up to that date.
Tennessee residents can vote early from Friday, July 17, through Saturday, August 1, 2026.
There are six early voting locations within the county:
Election Commission - 700 River Terminal Road in Chattanooga
Hixson Community Center - 5401 School Drive in Hixson
Chris L. Ramsey Sr. Community Center - 1010 N Moore Road in Chattanooga
Chestnut Hall at The Commons - 4950 Swinyar Drive in Collegedale
Harrison Center - 5637 Hwy 58 in Harrison
Soddy Daisy Community Center - 190 Depot Street in Soddy Daisy

According to the spreadsheet, there are 218,764 registered voters in Hamilton County, meaning there was a 1.27% turnout.
1,622 voters total have cast their ballots in the Republican primary, 1,083 in the Democrat primary, and 67 in the general election.
