MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Gov. Kay Ivey released a message for Labor Day honoring workers across the state to thank them for their contributions.
“The strength of America has always lived in the hardworking men and women who rise each morning determined to build a brighter future,” Ivey said.
The governor focused on workers’ efforts in industries from agriculture and manufacturing to education and construction.
“From our factories and farms to our classrooms and construction sites, hardworking Alabamians continue to prove that there is no substitute for an honest day’s work,” Ivey said.
Ivey ended the message by thanking Alabama workers for helping empower both the state and the country.
“Today, we honor you,” she said. “Thank you for all you do to make Alabama stronger and America greater. Happy Labor Day, y’all!”
