Thousands without power after strong storms hit Kansas City metro

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Thousands are without power across the Kansas City metro as severe storms move through the area.

Evergy’s outage map shows over 23,800 people are without power, with many of those in Grandview, Raymore, Bonner Springs and Leavenworth.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in place for the metro until 10 p.m.
