Black Reno contestant hosts Alopecia Awareness Tour RENO, Nev.(KOLO) - Dynisha “Nish” Buford is competing for the title of Ms.Black Reno 2026 this December.She’s also a certified hair loss practitioner and founder of Tailored Tresses Studio.She’s using her pageant platform to launch the Alopecia Awareness Tour sponsored by Empower Me Pink 501(c)(3).She and Gregory Fair, owner of Northern Nevada Barber Academy, stopped by Morning Break to share how the Alopecia Awareness Tour is designed to bring awareness, education, resources and support to individuals experiencing alopecia, hair loss, scalp disorder, and confidence challenges related to medical hair loss.The tour will feature multiple professionals from the health, wellness, and beauty industries coming together to educate and support the community through open conversations, wellness resources, beauty education, and confidence restoration services.Community Crown Care Day, in partnership with Northern Nevada Barber College, will serve as the first official stop of the Alopecia Awareness Tour during their Juneteenth community celebration event.Community Crown Care Day takes place Friday, June 19 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.at Tailored Tresses Studio.As a Reno native and founder of Reno’s only trichology salon, Buford is passionate about creating safe spaces centered around scalp wellness, healing, empowerment, and education.Learn more about the Alopecia Awareness Tour by following Buford on Instagram.Copyright 2026 KOLO.All rights reserved.
