HOPKINSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Kentucky woman is facing multiple charges after deputies said she threw liquor bottles from her vehicle and drove recklessly on Friday evening.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Office said deputies received a report at about 5 p.m. about a driver tossing liquor bottles from a vehicle.
Deputies located the vehicle on Monkey Norman Road and stopped it after they said the driver, Kimberly Binder, 63, was driving recklessly.
CCSO said Binder showed signs of being under the influence, including slurred speech and difficulty keeping her balance.
Deputies said Binder punched one deputy while being taken into custody, made threats to assault the deputy and later kicked a deputy at the hospital.
The sheriff’s office said Binder’s rental car had damage consistent with sideswiping another object.
Binder is charged with reckless driving, third-offense DUI, menacing, resisting arrest, third-degree assault of a police officer, first-degree criminal mischief, third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree disorderly conduct and failure of a non-owner operator to maintain required insurance.
