Man held on $300,000 bond after Thursday arrest in Manhattan
MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A man was behind bars in the Riley County Jail on a $300,000 bond following his Wednesday arrest in connection with violating the offender registration act and other offenses, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as Joseph Jonathan Macias, 37, of Manhattan.
Riley County police officers arrested Macias around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Vattier Street in Manhattan.
Macias was subsequently booked into the Riley County Jail on a Riley County District Court warrant charging him with 33 counts of violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act; 17 counts of perjury; and nine counts of aggravated violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.
Mcias remained in the Riley County Jail on Thursday morning, officials said.
