Washington will provide free preschool for about 2,400 more low-income children this school year, the governor’s office announced Monday.
The new slots under the state’s Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program, or ECEAP, come from existing providers increasing capacity, as well as 42 new sites across the state offering spots this school year.
