NH man charged with assault with deadly weapon after Thursday night attack

BATH, N.H. (WCAX) - A Bath, New Hampshire, man faces multiple charges after police say he assaulted another man with a blunt object Thursday night.

New Hampshire State Police say it happened at a home in Bath around 8:30 p.m.

As troopers were responding, they say the suspect, Alexander Anderson, 25, took off in a vehicle. Police intercepted him heading south on Route 10 in Haverhill.

Police say the victim was later airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center due to the severity of his injuries.

Anderson faces charges including first-degree assault with a deadly weapon and kidnapping.

He was due in Grafton County Court on Friday.
