PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It has been nearly a year since a young man was shot and killed in the city's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.
"I loved him to death, he was my middle son. It's a very hard loss, very hard loss," says Jonathan Grandy.
24-year-old Zachary Grandy was gunned down in broad daylight on the 2900 block of West Gordon Street on October 6th, 2025.
"He walked around the corner because his car was messed up to talk to a mechanic, there's a garage around the corner. When he came back, he was ambushed," says Grandy.
Police found more than 50 gunshell casings at the scene.
It was just before noon when the violence broke out.
Zachary's father believes there may have been two gunmen involved.
The search for those responsible still goes on.
"I would love someone to come forward and give information. Just come forward. It's a loss of life that didn't need to be lost. Didn't need to be lost," says Grandy.
There is a $20,000 reward being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the shooting death of Zachery Grandy.
