A recent opinion article penned by AZ CD8 Representative Abe Hamadeh made for interesting reading but it did raise some serious questions in my mind regarding his ability and desire to serve our district, or is his only desire and commitment to serving the Sultan of Mar- A- Lago.
First Mr. Hamadeh lamented the rise in political violence directed at law enforcement officers and harassment aimed at individuals due to their political beliefs. My question for the Congressman is why does he condone violence when it is committed by his own party? He and the rest of Trump’s MAGA minions demonized the previous administration for weaponizing the Dept. of Justice for pursuing indictments against Donald Trump. Why then does he stand by mute while the Trump Dept. of Justice files numerous frivolous lawsuits for supposedly filing false mortgage applications against Letitia James, James Comey and others?
In another recent Washington Times opinion Hamadeh called the AZ Attorney General unhinged for wasting taxpayer money in her, and I quote, “Ahab like pursuit of patriotic Arizonans who served as alternate electors”, unquote after the stolen 2020 election. As a trained attorney himself Mr. Hamadeh should know that there is no such thing as alternate electors in our electoral college process and anyone who poses as such is trying to usurp our elections and is a threat to our democratic election process. Yet he professes that it is ballots, not bullets that determine the future of our country. My question then of Mr. Hamadeh is why did he stand idly by and mute as Trump pardoned about 1500 violent criminals who stormed the US Capitol building on 1/6/2021 after attacking law enforcement officers and would have hung the Vice President if they could have found him? Why does he only speak up when it is to complain about his loss in the 2022 election for Arizona Attorney General because, in his opinion, the election was stolen from him? Sounds to me like it is a case of the ballots be damned and let the bullets fly when he or his hero lose an election.
Lastly the Congressman asserts that we, as a country, should respect the Constitution and show respect for the rule of law and maintain an unwavering commitment to peaceful civic engagement. My question is why does this not apply to him as our representative? Time and time again during his tenure as Representative he refused to meet with his constituents and engage them in peaceful dialog. He continually claims voter fraud is rampant yet offers not one scintilla of evidence to prove that claim. He has stood by and tacitly allowed his Department of Justice to turn rogue, untrained ICE agents loose on the streets of peaceful American cities and murder innocent civilians.
My last question for Representative Hamadeh is do you not realize that if you fail to do what you can to stop this problem of political violence then you are actually the problem you profess to be against?
It is now time for AZ CD8 to elect Bernadette Green-Placentia to be our representative. She will be all that our present ill-equipped representative claims to be but nothing that he actually is. We need someone who will serve everyone in the district regardless of your party affiliation. She will stand up to the Sultan of Mar-A-Lago and let him know that Arizona cannot be bullied into becoming another notch on his voter fraud pistol. She will restore funding for veterans, social security, SNAP, and Arizona infrastructure. She will protect our border and stop the flow of drugs but do it compassionately. She will not be afraid to interact with her constituents on a regular basis and listen to what you are saying. That is what we will elect her for and that is what she will do.
