Base Camp Street Eats — Did you know they have “loaded peach nachos” right now? I haven’t tried them yet, but they sure sound delicious. You can eat these and other foods while you are enjoying some terrific beer at Base Camp Beer Works located at 2575 U.S. Highway 6&50 in Grand Junction.
Cider Event — Haykin Family Cider will be teaming up with the Western Slope Whiskey Club for a sparkling cider event at Carboy Winery in Palisade. According to the press release, “Fermented cider has a long history. Julius Caesar encountered cider during his invasion of Britain in 55 B.C. and documented the Celts’ practice of fermenting apples. In Massachusetts and other colonial settlements, from the 1620s onward, apples were fermented for safekeeping. We are incredibly lucky to have a family here in Colorado who has taken fermented cider to the next level.” This event is from 5-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at 3572 G Road. Food Truck Friday’s — In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Lowell School, they are offering a free kid’s meal or kid’s cone to the first 100 children aged 12 and under every Friday through Labor Day (with a purchase). Located at the Lowell School on Seventh Street and Grand Avenue in Grand Junction, this is a weekly gathering of multiple food trucks, music and fun activities.
Mad Peach Market — From 4-8 p.m. on Aug. 21 at The Ordinary Fellow winery in Palisade at 202 Peach Ave., there is going to be a groovy market. According to their Facebook page, “The Mad Peach Market is an immersive artisan market, inspired by the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland and the magic of Palisade peach season. This market brings together locals and visitors for a curious evening. Celebrating creativity, community and Colorado’s peaches!” There will be a variety of local foods, music, a Mad Hatter contest, photo booth and more than 25 businesses represented. Costumes are encouraged.
Marblefest — Attend this annual, free music festival the weekend of Aug. 6-7 at the Marble Mill Site Park at 213 W. Park St. in Marble. There will be food trucks, a kids carnival and art vendors. Bring a chair and blanket to sit on and you are also welcome to bring your own food and beverages.
Moose’s Dough House — This home baker will be doing a pop-up on Aug. 1 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. unless sold out earlier. The pop-up will happen at G Road and 24¾ Road in Grand Junction. Moose’s Dough House features egg and dairy-free cinnamon rolls. Some of the flavors available will be “classic,” blueberry, and funfetti cinnamon rolls. Her motto is “a little roll of happiness.”
Olathe Sweet Corn Festival — Join in some delicious sweet corn fun all day in Montrose from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Aug. 22 at the Montrose Rotary Club Amphitheater at Cerise Park. Get more information and tickets at https://olathesweetcornfest.com.

Peaches and Pottery — Angelo’s Pottery Studio will be teaming up with Grande River Vineyards to have an artistic event on Aug. 13. Enjoy a glass of wine and a snack board with peaches while you paint a fun creation. The winery is located at 787 Grande River Dr. in Palisade. Pickin’ in the Park — This is the 19th season of the North Fork Valley Creative Coalition and Pickin’ Productions beloved free concert series. Join them in Paonia Town Park every Thursday night in August. There will be food vendors including Best Slope Pizza and Dynamite Gal and a variety of local beverages. According to their press release, “This legacy event is so special, bringing everyone together for the age-old practice of listening and dancing to live music as a community,” said Jess Dervin-Ackerman, Executive Director of the North Fork Valley Creative Coalition. “Coupled with the shady, centennial trees of Paonia Town Park that give way to Certified Dark Skies, you don’t want to miss these sweet, summer nights. All are welcome to join us!”
Plantain Tree — From 4-7 p.m. on Aug. 7, enjoy Caribbean food in Gunnison at the Buckel Family Winery showcasing foods like jerk pork, vegan rasta pasta, smoked brisket with plantain jam, and fried plantain chips with shrimp ceviche to pair with the regional wines. The winery is located at 1018 Colorado Highway 135.
West Elks Wine Trail — The North Fork Valley will be featuring a variety of its award-winning wineries and showcasing farm dinners, live music, workshops, tours, tastings, and more. According to their press release, “100% of the profits from this weekend-long celebration of high-elevation Colorado wine and cider directly benefits the West Elks American Viticultural Area (AVA), a nonprofit group representing the wineries and cideries of the North Fork Valley, furthering its quality, its voice, and its reach.” Tickets are $50 and you can learn more details on their website at https://westelksava.ticketspice.com/2026-west-elks-wine-trail.
