I-35 Accident Injures Three South of Cameron

One vehicle was totaled, another received extensive damage, and three were taken to the hospital following an I-35 accident south of Cameron Sunday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports two vehicles were heading southbound on I-35, two miles south of Cameron, when a 17-year-old female driver from Brookfield struck the back of a vehicle ahead of her. A 44-year-old Springfield, Missouri female was driving that vehicle. The Brookfield driver’s vehicle went off the side of the roadway. The other car came to a controlled stop. Both drivers received minor injuries from the accident. The Brookfield driver was taken to Liberty Hospital. The Springfield driver and a 19-year-old female passenger in her vehicle were taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center. The passenger also received minor injuries. The accident was reported at 3:35pm on Sunday afternoon. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, the Cameron Police Department, the Cameron Ambulance District, and the Cameron Fire Department assisted the Highway Patrol.
