AEW Rebel Heart Dynamite reportedly received strong backstage reaction
AEW’s Rebel Heart Dynamite is being praised as “exactly what Rebel wanted.”
Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite from Athens, Georgia was held in honor of Rebel, who announced earlier this year that she has been diagnosed with ALS.
Rebel appeared in two segments herself, first as part of The Waiting Room segment to open the show and then later when she brought Britt Baker the glove she uses to apply the Lockjaw.
According to a report from Fightful Select on Saturday, everyone Fightful spoke to about the show was “over the moon” about it.
Fightful wrote:
“Everyone who @FightfulSelect spoke to in AEW was over the moon about the Rebel Heart Dynamite show, with a number of her friends saying it was exactly what Rebel wanted.”
On Friday, Rebel posted to social media urging fans to sign a petition that will be delivered to Congress on Monday. The petition calls for Congress to reauthorize the Accelerating Access to Critical Therapies for ALS Act, commonly known as the ACT for ALS.
The law is set to expire on September 30 unless Congress reauthorizes it. Rebel said Congress could delay a final decision until later this year, but explained that many ALS patients simply cannot afford to wait that long.
