WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Wilmington is asking residents to help shape its next round of projects aimed at reducing flooding and other impacts from storms and rising sea levels.
The city is entering Phase 2 of the North Carolina Resilient Coastal Communities Program and will host an open house Tuesday, July 28, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Davis Community Center. Residents can learn about the program, share ideas and help prioritize resilience projects.
City officials said Wilmington is working with engineering and planning firm Moffatt & Nichol.
The city said it will also host pop-up engagement events for those who can’t attend. More information is available here.
