KAILUA, Hawaii (Island News) -- First responders are active at the scene of a murder investigation at the Target in Kailua on Saturday night following a shooting.
The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) reported that a second-degree murder investigation is taking place following an incident at 8:33 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 345 Hahani St. in Kailua. A shooting in the parking lot of the Kailua Target has left one dead.
HPD received a call about the homicide at around 5 p.m.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services and the Honolulu Fire Department are active at the scene along with HPD.
The public is advised to avoid the area as first responders are present.
Police did not report any additional details about the circumstances surrounding this murder case.
No arrests have been made at this time. No reports of any suspects have been made as the investigation is ongoing.
