5 arrested in Georgia after $200K Memphis auto parts heist, multi-state pursuit
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department has arrested five people accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of auto parts.
On August 5, the suspects were dressed in black clothing and masks entered Cummins in Memphis, Tenn., held three victims hostage for over an hour, and loaded over $200,000 of semi-truck parts into a U-Haul truck.
MPD used the FLOCK system to track the U-Haul through Mississippi, Alabama and into Georgia, where the suspects were caught near Atlanta in Cobb County.
They exited the U-Haul truck and tried to escape on foot before being taken into custody.
The stolen parts were recovered from the U-Haul.
The suspects were later identified as Cadarius Grayer, Cordarrius Parks, Courtney Robinson, Shanadrian Lee, and Alvin Lloyd.
All suspects were charged with theft of property worth between $60,000 and $250,000.
